Why you should travel to the Northern parts of Europe

In spring, every family I know starts thinking about what they’re going to do in the summer holidays. They think about Italy, France, Spain, America, Croatia and a lot of other countries, but I don’t often hear that people want to go to the northern countries like Sweden, Iceland and Norway. How come? Let’s take Iceland as an example.

Despite the fact that it’s pretty expensive to go there, I cannot see one reason why people shouldn’t want to travel to Iceland. I can’t think of one country that I somehow actually fell in love with more than Iceland! It’s natural beauty is truly stunning, you can see so many things you will never be able to see in Austria, like volcanoes, beautiful but completely different mountains than in Austria, like “Landmannalaugar“ and then there is this hot water which comes from underneath the ground, I’m sure you’ve heard about it. At what age should children have their own smartphones?

I think that a mobile phone can be practical since it allows kids to call their parents, but at a young age it could be better to have a more basic phone without internet. This would prevent them from spending all their time on their phones playing games, which could have a negative effect on them. Especially at a young age I think it would be very bad for them to spend all their time on the phone instead of doing sports, schoolwork or meeting up with their friends. A big problem is the fact that there are always young kids with smartphones and this will make other kids also want phones in order to fit in. However, a phone is not necessary in order to fit in and I think it is important for kids to learn not to care too much about what others think. So I think the appropriate age is around 12 years depending on the kid.

Playing Fifa

Today I want to tell you about something I really like to do in my free time: Fifa. You don´t like to play it, well here are some reasons why you should!

To start off, I want to talk about the social aspect of playing Fifa. It just brings people together. If you play football you have also most probably heard or played Fifa. Via the internet you can connect yourself with your friends and play together. You can meet up after school and have a good time with them and the game.

We are All Humans

I think most of you know that in many societies there are problems with intolerance and racism. This is  a horrible thing because my opinion is that every single one of us is a human who has their own colour of skin, their own way they like to dress, the right to live and the right to be treated as everyone else.

Racism is a big issue at the moments, especially bcause of the refugee crisis in Europe. Yes, it is hard to have so many people coming to Europe at once, but imagine you and your family in their situation. You would also like another county to help you in such a situation. Those refugees come from countries where war is ongoing and their economies are terrible. They are terrified of getting killed or losing their families. Because of this they come to Europe, and I think the whole thing is harder for them than it is for us. It’s not a solution to send them back or close the borders, because our countries have enough space and enough money to handle the stream of people coming to them. We can manage. How to live a healthy life

A lot of people want to lose weight or just be more healthy. The problem is that most of them don’t really know how to do that, so they just stop eating sweets or try living vegan. But this is not the solution,  there are much better ways to live a healthy life.

First of all, living vegan is not always healthy, only if you know what your body needs to survive. Secondly, to stop eating chocolate won’t solve your problem either. To live a healthy life you really have to spend time thinking about this topic before you start. I thought long and hard about how to change my habits before I started living a more healthy life. Since last December I have been living very healthy, which defenitely doesn’t mean that I don’t eat any sweets!

I guess everybody wants to live a healthy life. But what can we do to encourage healthy living?

One really important aspect is food. Vegetables and fruits contain important vitamins our bodies need. The perfect amount of vegetables and fruits one should eat per day are 4 to 5 portions. We have such a wide range of healthy food we can choose from and it really helps our bodies to stay fit.
