Our Day in Dublin -> Sunday, May 11th, 2025
We started our day at 8 a.m., getting ready for meeting with our class. Our host mum kindly prepared breakfast and packed lunch for us to take along. After finishing breakfast, we made our way to the bus station. At the language school, we met up with the rest of the group. The bus ride from our host family’s home to the city took about 45 minutes. Once we arrived, Marlene and Anika who have been living in Dublin for about four months joined us. A short while later, we headed to the train station and took the train to Bray. When we arrived, our teachers gave us one and a half hours to explore the town and enjoy the beautiful seaside view. While in Bray, we sat down to eat the delicious lunch our host mum had packed for us earlier. After lunch, we took the train back to Dublin, where we parted ways with the rest of the group. Together with Marlene, we made our way to Grafton Street. There, we went shopping and later had dinner together. Before heading back home, we took a short walk through the city. During our walk, we came across a talented street singer with a beautiful, angelic voice. His performance was so captivating that we couldn’t resist stopping to listen and even dancing along to the music. Naturally, we had to take a photo with the handsome singer and ended up chatting with him for a while.
A funny moment happened when we were guessing what song he might sing next. Valentina jokingly said, “What if he sang ‘There’s a fire…’”and right at that moment, he actually started singing Adele’s Rolling in the Deep! We couldn’t believe the coincidence and burst into laughter. After singing and dancing along with the crowd, we made our way back home.
All in all, it was a wonderful day filled with laughter, fun, and unforgettable moments. We’re already looking forward to the next few days in Dublin.
