How to live a healthy life

A lot of people want to lose weight or just be more healthy. The problem is that most of them don’t really know how to do that, so they just stop eating sweets or try living vegan. But this is not the solution,  there are much better ways to live a healthy life.

First of all, living vegan is not always healthy, only if you know what your body needs to survive. Secondly, to stop eating chocolate won’t solve your problem either. To live a healthy life you really have to spend time thinking about this topic before you start. I thought long and hard about how to change my habits before I started living a more healthy life. Since last December I have been living very healthy, which defenitely doesn’t mean that I don’t eat any sweets!
I am now going to tell you what I do and eat.

Everything starts with my breakfast. Instead of eating cereal or a piece of toast with nutella, all I drink is a green smoothie. You might now think that I’m crazy because I don’t eat anything, but these green smoothies are full of vitamins and they are considered a meal.
Throughout the day I eat a lot of fruits like a banana or an apple. Never forget: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” 😉 Researchers found out that one should eat up to five portions of fruit per day. For me, this is not a problem. When I am at home, doing my homework, I eat fruit all the time.

Then, for lunch I eat a lot of vegetables, no matter with what. Sometimes with meat or fish but sometimes even only with rice or  couscous. After such a large lunch I don’t eat a lot for dinner. Most of the time I eat a salad or tomatoes with mozarella.
What I do, which is the healthiest thing you can do is only eat three times a day! Of course you can always eat fruit as a snack, but don’t eat a bowl of cereal or a piece of bread between meals.

In addition, I do a lot of sports and I love being outside, in the fresh air. The only think you have to pay attention to is that you don’t eat too little if you do a lot of sports. But, I don’t think that this is going to be a problem for you because you’re going to be be more hungry anyway.

I have really gotten used to living like this and I have also learned to love it. One year ago I didn’t think that I could eat in such a healthy way without going on a diet. All I really had to change was what and when I eat, not how much I eat.
