As I told you in my last our exchange partners from Spain came to Austria.
Later, about a week ago, I travelled to Spain for the exchange. There were some differences in the way my partner lived that I’m going to tell you about now.
Firstly, many people acted different depending on the country they were in. For instance, the students from Spain didn’t talk much in Austria, but when we got to Spain they were completely talkative people. Secondly, the Spaniards were tired all the time when they were here in Austria. They were constantly telling us that they were exhausted. Thirdly, they needed water at all times and they were never hungry. At first we thought it was just because they weren’t used to the food. But when we went to Spain we experienced the same: we were all so tired, we didn’t eat much and our host families were worried about us not eating. It was very interesting to be on the flip side. I think we weren’t hungry because we aren’t used to the food. Also, because the weather and the climate were so different, people were drinking a lot of water.
Interestingly, most of the Spaniards enjoyed Austria over Spain and I think that most of us felt the same, but the other way round.
