Is soccer dying?

Today I want to point out some things that definitely went wrong in the game we all love, soccer.

Let´s start off by talking about money. Is there too much money in the modern game of soccer? Let´s not jump to conclusions, and let us look at some facts first.

There are players out there that cost 100 million euro. When you ask a soccer fan who the most expensive player ever was/is, you will get many names. But why is that so? There is a very simple answer, all these transfers are more or less secret and the clubs often lie to the people. But we can assume that a Brazilian called Neymar who moved from Fc Santos (Brazil) to Fc Barcelona (Spain) cost way more than 100 million euros as far as the court knows. Is this ok, has it gone too far?

It all started off very simply, 22 men running after one small leather ball, now after many years, everything has changed, but one thing will always be the same, 22 men running around one ball.

Another issue are the wages, some soccer players earn 50 million euros just for playing soccer. They earn 50 million for playing no more than 50 games in one season and running after one ball. Do we as the spectators want to see too much? I mean we support these clubs and players.

I think one basic idea of this game is to get together and play, no matter where you are, what you believe or how you look. But often something else takes place, people start fighting because of soccer. The fans hate each other for one simple reason they don´t support the same club or nation. People around the globe have actually been killed for not supporting the same club.

We need to get back to how it all started out, with 22 men running after one leather ball.
